Regional advocacy is woven into every APLG members employing and combining the principles of advocacy frameworks. The advocacy framework identifies the challenge, case study/best practice, way into the process, messenger or "Champion" and the corresponding message and activities. The advocacy coalition framework indicates how statement was made as collective voices of local authorities to influence regional policy at the UN high level forum. To date, there have been a total of 13 statements of local governments/authorities produced for regional events in Asia Pacific. Eight (8) were on sustainable development presented at APFSD and APUF Four (4) on disaster risk reduction presented at APMCDRR One (1) were on ESCAP Commission Session.
